"The Art of Fishing" Exhibit at NCCA-Artsplace is a collection curated to spotlight the fine art and fine craft related to the sport, and some say the spiritual experience of fishing. Enjoy fine examples of rod building, fly tying, decoy carving, and lure design along with photographs, paintings and carvings inspired by this lifelong passion of many.
Amont other, you will find the artwork of Al Nelson, Rod Brayman, Kevin Feenstra, Gailen Peterson, Muckegon River Fly Shop, James Churchill, Ryan McConkey, Wes Cooper, Gerald Homminga, Bonnie Knapp, Larry Gouine, Bruce Mac Carthy, Paul Deur, allison Kublin, Jane Stroschin and Taylor Cole Greenfield. In addition to original artwork and fine fishing craft, there will be collections of unique lures and other fishing tackle.
Area angler and river guide Kevin Feenstra will be giving a presentation, "Photographing a Big River", at 11:00 a.m. during the reception on August 13.
The exhibit reception is free and all are welcome to attend. Exhibit is on display July 13 through August 15.Tell a Friend
