It is in that spirit that your Board of Directors has adopted a policy for determining the best course of action for annually reviewing events for the year to come. The following is the best practices policy for reviewing events:\n\n\n\nAll events will be reviewed at the October Board Meeting of the River Country Chamber of Commerce of Newaygo County (events covering October through September of prior year) to determine if an event was a success* and if the event should be held again in the coming year. \n\n\n\n*Success is determined by the following: River Country Chamber of Commerce of Newaygo County events will be deemed successful when they enjoy membership and community support and involvement\, make a positive impact on our community and the relative monetary & human investments are balanced against the event's impact. \n\n\n\nIn keeping with this policy we would like to invite you to our Annual Event Review Meeting to be held at The Stream on Thursday\, October 22\, 2015 from 8:00 am - 10:00 am. This meeting is open to all members\, community partners and volunteers who are interested in being a part of the 2016-2017 event planning process. During this meeting we will discuss past events\, the success/failure of these events and determine if there is support to continue the event for 2016-2017. At the end of the meeting we look forward to being able to present the 2016-2017 Calendar of Events for the River Country Chamber of Commerce of Newaygo County (which includes a Committee Chair for each event) to the Board of Directors for approval at the November 10th Board Meeting. \n\n\n\nI have included attachments that might be helpful during our review process and will have these available at the meeting.
