DESCRIPTION:For many children\, their Big Brother or Big Sister represents the only consistent\, positive adult role model in their lives. Locally\, there are 26 kids\, or "littles"\, waiting to be matched with a "big". The first-ever Big Brothers Big Sisters Youth Outcomes Summary\, released in 2012\, substantiated that its mentoring programs have proven\, positive academic\, socio-emotional\, and behavioral outcomes for youth\, areas linked to high school graduation\, avoidance of juvenile delinquency and college or job readiness. That's a BIG impact!\n\n\n\nYou can make a difference in the life of a child\, and would you believe you can do so simply by bowling? "Bowlapalooza" brings teams of five bowlers together to bowl and have fun\, but most importantly\, to raise money that goes directly toward recruiting\, enrolling and pairing volunteers with children needing them most. The event is all about kids. The more donations bowlers raise\, the more children will benefit by having a Big Brother or Big Sister in their lives. Bowlapalooza is just about the easiest and most fun way to get involved.\n\n\n\nIt's easy to participate\, with a variety of dates and times for your convenience\;\n\n\n\nApril 25: 5:30   7:30 PM and 8:00 - 10:00 PM @ Fremont Lanes \n\nApril 26: 3:00 - 5:00 PM\, 5:30   7:30 PM\, and 8:00 - 10:00 PM (Super Salon Challenge) @ Fremont Lanes\n\nMay 2: 5:00 - 7:00 PM (Educators) and 7:30   9:30 PM @ Fremont Lanes\n\nMay 2: 5:30   7:30 PM\, and 8:00 - 10:00 PM @ Underdog Lanes\n\nMay 3: 3:00 - 5:00 PM\, and 5:30   7:30 PM @ Underdog Lanes \n\n\n\nApart from the great feelings you'll have for helping out a good cause\, there are also some great incentives for teams\, and individuals. Each bowler is asked to raise a minimum of $40\, and for every $40 raised participants will receive a raffle ticket to win great door prizes the night of the event. When bowlers raise $75 they will receive an awesome Bowlapalooza 2014 t-shirt. At $150\, bowlers will receive a roll-up fleece blanket\; perfect for picnics in the park and outdoor events! AND - the Prize for the Top Fundraiser is - A Casino Getaway! Indulge and enjoy yourself with a $150 gift card to FireKeepers Casino Hotel. Dine at one of their six restaurants\, visit Traders Blanket gift shop\, and stay at their four diamond hotel with luxurious amenities. Prize is awarded to the adult individual (21+) with the most donations collected and turned in at the time of bowl.\n\n\n\nYou can make a real difference in the lives of Newaygo County youth   and have a blast doing so.
