DESCRIPTION:Who: The Challenge for Life is an event for all ages\; bring as many folks as you can find to join you. You can participate by either Walking or Running or Riding your motorcycle or paddling a canoe or kayak down the Muskegon\n\nWhat: The Challenge for Life is our annual Spring Fundraiser Event supporting the day-to-day operations of Alpha Family Center. The Walk is an easy 2 mile event - The Motorcycle Ride is a scenic 75+ mile event - The Run is a 5K on the North Country Trail - The Paddle is 6 miles on the Muskegon. The Challenge for Life are simultaneous events\, with staggered starts\, so that everyone arrives back at the park at the same time to enjoy a delicious\, free picnic lunch. \n\nThe Event is held rain or shine. There is a minimum of $75 donation per boat to participate. Canoes hold 2 adults and up to 2 children.\n\nWhy: To act on your pro-life values by participating in this visible community event. To financially support the free services of Alpha Family Center. To enjoy a great day of family fun\, good food and great fellowship\; all for a great cause.\n\nWhen:  Saturday\, May 20\, 2017\n\nRunner\, Biker\, and Paddler registration begins at 8:30am\n\nWalker registration begins at 10:00am\n\nPaddler's transport begins at 9:00am\n\nBikers take off at 9:30am\n\nRunner's transport begins at 9:30am\n\nWalkers take off at 11am\n\nEveryone returns to park for lunch at 12pm noon\n\nWhere: At Shaw Park in Newaygo\, Just East of the M37 and M82 Intersection at the Newaygo Bridge. All participants start from and return to the park.\n\nHow: Collect donations from friends\, family\, co-workers\, neighbors (especially the people who ask you to sponsor events!).
