    As Housekeeping Staff, you play a key role in creating a safe and welcoming environment for all of our guests who utilize our 23 cabin spaces, dining hall, and three additional common areas throughout the year. General duties include maintaining the overall cleanliness of all Camp Henry facilities including cabins, restrooms, common areas, and all other shared spaces.
    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Maintain the overall cleanliness of all Camp Henry facilities including cabins, restrooms, common areas, and all other shared spaces:
      • Cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting bunk beds, tables, chairs, counters, sinks, showers, toilets, and other related surfaces
      • Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
      • Trash removal
    • Uphold health and safety standards at all times
      • Follow standard precautions, being aware of chemical hazards and abiding by protective measures
      • Keep chemicals properly stored and away from guests and children
    • Return any items you find that a guest may have left behind to your supervisor, and report any damages to facilities
    • Ensure all housekeeping spaces are well stocked with the appropriate level of supplies
      • Complete deep cleaning projects, on a periodic basis:
        • Cleaning windows, baseboards, wood furniture, ceilings, carpet, etc.
    • Provide guests with a positive customer service experience
    • Abide by the Camp Henry commitment statement and organization policies
      • Support the mission and vision of Camp Henry, recognizing the part your role and responsibilities play in it
    • Complete additional duties, as assigned
    • Ability to work independently; self-motivated, dependable, and trustworthy
    • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to consistently meet quality standards; organized and detail-oriented
    • Ability to follow both written and verbal directions in completing tasks
    • Ability to practice sound decision making, problem solving, and effective communication
    • Previous housekeeping or related experience preferred, not required
    Work Environment:
    Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, squatting, and reaching is required, as well as the ability to repeat motions (scrubbing, mopping, etc.), and carry 25 lbs. Frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals, with personal protective equipment available. At times, a golf cart may be used to transport supplies. While duties are completed primarily indoors, travel outdoors between spaces is required during all seasons.

    Hours/Schedule: Part-Time (15-25 hours per week), Seasonal (April-November 1st, potential to extend end date); Wednesday, Friday, and Weekend availability required. Monday availability preferred, but Tuesday availability will also be considered.
    Pay: $10-$12 per hour, dependent upon experience
