The Farmers Market located in downtown Newaygo operated by the River Country Chamber of Commerce of Newaygo County and is held Brooks Park at the corner of M-37 and Quarterline. The Farmers Market is dedicated to showcasing the best in locally-grown foods, flowers, nursery stock, handicrafts and baked goods. Registration forms can be printed or you can register on line; Forms may be brought to Market and turned into Market Master.
Farmers & Artisan Market Registration & Information
Booth spaces are 12 x 12; vendors are allowed to pull vehicles into the park and set up behind their space. Returning and seasonal vendors will be provided first pick of spaces and will be assigned by the Market Master. There is very limited electricity and water available so please plan accordingly. The Newaygo & Fremont Markets work together to make EBT equipment available during Market Hours. The EBT stand in Newaygo will be open most Fridays from Noon - 6 pm and will be on or near the band shell in Brooks Park. We will make all attempts to provide for advance warning if it will be closed.
We will participate with the Fair Food Network to offer the Double-Up tokens which allow shoppers to receive up to $20.00 in additional spending dollars to be used on Michigan grown fruits & vegetables.
The tokens can be used by shoppers at either market and all vendors who complete & return the necessary paper work are eligible to accept tokens. We can not reimburse for tokens other than Newaygo & Fremont Farmers Markets so please make sure when accepting tokens they are for our markets only.Artisan/Crafter This area of the park continues to grow with more exhibitors each year.
