If you love the sound of bagpipes and drums, come on over to the Dogwood Center on Saturday, August 22 for a unique concert full of history, music, and dance on the main stage.
The Grand Rapids & District Pipe Band is proud to be the oldest pipe band in West Michigan. Formed in 1968 as "The Piping Society of Grand Rapids", the group has a long history of performing in the Grand Rapids area. They have performed at Celtic festivals all over the state, several West Michigan Whitecaps home games, during the half-time of Griffins' game, opening ceremonies of VanAndel Arena and at an anniversary event for the Grand Rapids Children's Museum.
The show will begin at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $10.00 for adults and $5 for children 18 and under. Tickets are available through the Dogwood Center Box Office, NCCA-Artsplace in downtown Fremont, or on-line at www.dogwoodcenter.com. For information, phone 231.924.8885.
