Description
The 2nd Annual RiverStock Raft Race, hosted by the Newaygo Area Chamber of Commerce, will take place on Saturday August 10, 2013. Races start at 2:00 pm at Henning County Park.
Part of the annual RiverStock Festival, The RiverStock Raft Race is an event that encourages inventive participants to use “backyard engineering” making creative, homemade, self-propelled rafts to speed or drift down our nationally recognized course: The beautiful Muskegon River. The 1 1/2 mile long course curves along the shores of Newaygo's Riverside Park, where friends, family and interested bystanders gather along the riverbanks and bridges to cheer the teams on to victory!
