Free Ice Fishing Seminar Ice Fishing Fundamentals 5:00-7:00 pm Free of charge and open to all. NAIFC Pro Staff will explain and demonstrate the basic skills needed and techniques used in ice fishing. Designed for the beginners and intermediate fisherman, Ice Fishing Fundamentals will provide basic skills used by every fisherman.
Topics to include but not limited to:
Learn: Knot Tying
Bait: how to put on a hook... how to keep alive
Plastics: How and when to use.
Jigs: Style, size and use.
How to: Sharpen a hook.
Ice Fishing Fundamentals 5:00-7:00 pm
How to: Sharpen a hook.
How to: Filet a fish.
Cooking/frying: breading basics.
Strike detection: Spring bobbers, slip bobbers.
Seminar Speakers 7:00-8:30 pm Social hour 6:00-7:00 pm 4-6 NAIFC Pro-staff will each speak for 15-20 minutes covering one techniques or piece of equipment in-depth. This portion of the NAIFC Friday Night Seminar program is geared toward educating fishermen to the world of Tournament Ice Fishing. Learn how to use the best products and cutting edge techniques in the ice industry. The seminar is free of charge and open to the public. The goal is to put attendees on the fast track to becoming highly skilled anglers, eventually becoming teachers to their friends and fishers in the local community. Round table discussions with NAIFC Pro Staff after the seminar 8:30-9:00pm After the speakers are done those attending the seminar are invited to get up close and personal, talking to NAIFC Pro Staff one-on-one about how they go about catching fish.
