In the midst of cold winter temperatures, low-income families and seniors struggle with the higher costs of utilities. The fear and reality of facing having your heat shut off in the dead of winter can be devastating and a tragedy for some.
FiveCAP, Inc. hosts this annual Walk for Warmth fundraiser event to help ensure that funding is always available to keep the heat on for low-income families and seniors in Newaygo County. The agency is seeking people willing to walk for awareness and raise funds through pledges. Direct donations are also accepted year round. Funds raised help our families and senior residents who are barely over the threshold for state or federal assistance, or to help low-income residents when state and federal funds are exhausted of delayed.
Pledge sheets available at the FiveCAP Newaygo County Office, 434 N. Evergreen, White Cloud OR are downloadable on our website www.fivecap.org.Tell a Friend
