Description
Fremont Area Community Foundation (FACF) and area nonprofit organizations are getting together for a day of local giving. During the 12-hour period on May 6, the public is invited to attend the event and donate to any of the 40+ participating organizations. A full list of organizations that will be present is available at www.tfacf.org.
The Community Foundation will match all donations up to $0.50 on the dollar. Match dollars go directly into the organization’s agency endowment fund. The Community Foundation Board of Trustees set up a total match pool of $250,000 and a single nonprofit can receive up to 10 percent of the pool.
The event is a celebration of local philanthropy and the 100th anniversary of community foundations in the U.S.
