TOURISM IS EVERYONE'S BUSINESS
If you missed the May 9th Tourism Summitt you missed an opportunity to learn more about the importance of tourism in Newaygo County. The NewayGo County Tourism Council put together an afternoon of great information that is important to us all.
The mission of the NewayGo County Tourism Council is to promote the Newaygo County region as a premier outdoor recreation destination. Delivering the Pure Michigan promise since 1885, collaborative efforts are focused on strengthening the regional economic foundation by educating travelers about our County's abundant natural resources and recreational opportunities. The River Country Chamber of Commerce is proud to be one of 11 area partners helping to support and grow this promise.
Stacked together small businesses and community organizations are some of the most critical components to delivering on a brand promise. We need your voice to grow our tourism economy.
As a business owner there are several ways to promote your event, property, deal/package. The Pure Michigan website is one that is no cost to you. The Chamber is excited to partner with the Newaygo County Convention & Visitors Bureau and MI Travel & Tourism to bring you this interactive workshop where you will learn how to post, edit and update information and learn WHY posting your unique, ordinary, like no other tourism related property, event, and deal/package on the website will give visitors the boost to visit and experience Newaygo County.
Pure Michigan has an annual budget of $35 million dollars (4th in the USA). Because of its geographic makeup, Michigan is thought of as a "destination" state, and with no real "pass-thru" traffic, the Pure Michigan campaign has created a sense of local pride along with luring travelers from across the country to experience our State. We can take advantage of this by understanding our role in the larger tourism economy.
Registration is open to all (membership is not required) and is FREE. Seating is limited so please be sure to reserve a spot that works for you.Tell a Friend
