The 2nd Annual RiverStock Raft Race, hosted by the Newaygo Area Chamber of Commerce, will take place on Saturday August 10, 2013. Races start at 2:00 pm at Henning County Park.
Part of the annual RiverStock Festival, The RiverStock Raft Race is an event that encourages inventive participants to use “backyard engineering” making creative, homemade, self-propelled rafts to speed or drift down our nationally recognized course: The beautiful Muskegon River. The 1 1/2 mile long course curves along the shores of Newaygo's Riverside Park, where friends, family and interested bystanders gather along the riverbanks and bridges to cheer the teams on to victory!
Join us in a perfect summer opportunity to make memories with family and friends as you engage in this friendly and fun competition: Form a crew, build your own raft, and compete for honor, glory, and a little redneck fame by being this years "RIVERSTOCK RAFT RACE CHAMPIONS".
