Spring Volunteer Day @ Camp Newaygo

If you want to give back to your community and help get Camp Newaygo off to a great start for summer, 2014, they have a great way for you to get outside and do just that.

Saturday, April 26 is SPRING VOLUNTER DAY at Camp Newaygo. Volunteers are needed to help clean up Camp and get her ready for the summer. Adults, students, and families are all welcome. Everyone is invited! Work begins at 8:30 AM and wraps up around 4:00 PM. Complimentary coffee and pastries will be served in the morning and a free lunch will also be provided.

“With the long, hard winter we had, we are in special need of some great volunteers to help us get Camp all spruced up for another exciting summer season,” said Camp’s Executive Director; Jane Vitek. “It’s always great to see local volunteers step up and help out… it reminds me of what a friendly and positive community we live in,” added Christa Smalligan, Camp’s Events and Operations Specialist. 

No particular skills are required - just a willingness to roll up your sleeves and help clean, rake, haul wood, organize, and set-up Camp after the rough winter we had. This is a fun and easy way for students to fulfill their volunteer requirements for graduation as well. Please RSVP at 652-1184 or via e-mail at campbiz@campnewaygo.org.
