White Cloud Community Library Presents Every Hero Has a Story! Summer Reading Program 2015 and Scholastic BOGO Book Fair

The Summer Reading Program at the White Cloud Community Library is a fun way for children ages 2-18 to continue developing their reading skills throughout the summer and participate in programs that are both fun and educational.  We believe that it is very important for children to continue reading during the summer months so that they don’t lose the skills they have worked so hard to gain during the school year.  This summer, our theme will be "Every Hero Has a Story!"  We will have plenty of fun programs and incentives that follow this theme.

The summer reading program and sign-up begins with a special Scholastic Buy One Get One Free Book Fair kickoff event.  The book fair will be held the week of June 8th-12th daily from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm with a special visit from Clifford the Big Red Dog on Friday from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm.  Signing up is incredibly easy.  Just stop at the library the week of June 8th - June 13th, and we'll ask you for some basic information (names, grade, phone number), ask you to set a reading goal, and give you a log book plus some extra goodies. Take your reading log home, start reading, and bring it back (anytime we're open!) to earn fun prizes!
