Posted: 08/31/2026Love In the Name of Christ of Newaygo County is excited to be welcoming on a Connection Center Coordinator to their team!
The Connection Center Coordinator oversees the daily operations of Love INC’s Connection Center, ensuring that individuals and families seeking assistance are heard, their needs are carefully assessed, and they are connected with the most appropriate church, ministry, or community resources. The Coordinator also serves as a key connection point between the Connection Center, Transformational Ministries, GAP Ministries, and partner churches by supervising the Ministry Assistant/GAP Ministry, supporting volunteer development, maintaining communication with Church Ministry Coordinators, and helping strengthen church engagement. Working closely with the Executive Director and other leadership, the Coordinator helps develop procedures, track ministry impact, and promote a model of service that is transformative rather than transactional, with the goal of building relationships, encouraging long-term growth, and sharing the love of Christ throughout the community.
The ideal candidate will have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be actively involved in a church family. They should have a teachable heart, work well as part of a team, and demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. Candidates should have at least three years of supervisory experience, solid computer skills including proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and the ability to train, teach, and speak publicly. A working knowledge of principles found in resources such as Toxic Charity, When Helping Hurts, Becoming Whole, and The Crisis of Dependency is also desirable. The candidate should demonstrate good discernment, strong problem-solving skills, flexibility, and adaptability, along with a passion for helping others recognize and use their gifts and talents and for sharing Jesus with the community.
